Different strains of Cannabis in a dispensary.

A new poll by YouGov and Huffington Post, is supported by a staggering 59% of estounidenses in favor of legalizing marijuana, the more support registered in a nationwide survey. Only 26% of respondents said that marijuana should remain illegal.

The survey asked 1,000 american adults about their views on the legalization of marijuana and provided four options to choose from. The breakdown is as follows:

1) Marijuana should be legalized, taxed and regulated like alcohol - 51%
2) Marijuana should be legalized, but not taxed and regulated like alcohol - 8%
3) Marijuana should not be legalized - 26%
4) Not sure - 15%

These results show a continued upward trend in support for legalization of marijuana in this country. Last year, Gallup recorded an opposition encouraged support from 50% to 46%, for the first time in nearly four decades of polls on this issue. Another survey by AngusReid had support for legalization 56%. We must take into account in this recent data that much of the country would be subject to regulation similar to alcohol por5 to 1 (52% and 8%) taxed against the non-imposition of these.

The American people are quickly opening eyes monumental failure that is the war of the U.S. government on cannabis. Win or lose, the three legalization initiatives on the ballot this November in Colorado, Washington and Oregon, have legalized elevated to a general debate and helped end the ban convertiendose a topic discussed in homes across the country .

We are willing to see an intelligent and sensible reform our marijuana laws. We will not stand idly by while losing tens of millions of dollars in taxes by a failed policy that terrorizes our citizens and robs us of our civil liberties.

Let the voting this November and send a clear message to the federal government that these are the "last days dela Prohibition." Where this survey is any indication, radical change is coming to marijuana policy in the United USA.
