Today, we’re going to talk about the new medicinal marihuana strain Deep Mandarin, which has high CBD levels.

Our team of geneticists has been researching and developing strains with high CBD levels for a number of years to enable us to offer our medicinal growers a 100% medicinal strain.

It all started three years ago when we got our hands on a clone of a plant called Carmen, which, we realised when we smoked it, didn't get us stoned but did have a magnificent mandarine taste.

We grew it again but this time we analysed a sample of the Carmen and were surprised to find that it tested at 8.5% THC and 12.5% CBD. Having gone so far already and in view of the THC/CBD ratios achieved, we decided to start working on it.

Our team of geneticists decided to cross Carmen with all our best strains separately as part of our ongoing research and development of new strains programme.

Our first big success is DEEP MANDARINE, which is Carmen crossed with our best-known strain worldwide; SUGAR BLACK ROSE (SBR).

The resulting plant appears to be totally identical to Sugar Black Rose but with such a profound mandarine taste that we really couldn't call it anything else. As well as giving us its name, this strain's remarkable mandarine taste and smell indicate a high level of medicinally beneficial terpenes.

Analyses conducted so far have given ratios of between 1/1 and 1/3 while some plants tested at 4% THC to 15% CBD, which not only suprised us all but spurred us on to make sure we could bring it to market for 2016.

As we’ve already mentioned, when you smoke Deep Mandarin you will experience an explosion of mandarine flavour in your mouth with a thick citrussy smelling smoke that is really pleasurable on the palate. The effect is mild as this strain has a low level of THC and is highly recommended for people looking for a 100% medicinal strain or for those seeking low effect strains so that they can go about their day to day business totally normally.
